Michael Grieve 
Managing Director 
 
Michael Grieve is the Managing Director of Carlile Associates Limited, originally joining the practice in 1984, becoming an Associate in 1991, a Director in 2002 and taking over Ownership of the Company in 2013. 
 
Michael qualified in 1989 with a BSc Degree in Surveying and became a member of the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors in 1990. He is also a member of the Association for Project Safety and a member of the Chartered Institute of Arbitrators. 
 
He has been practicing as a Chartered Building Surveyor since 1990, dealing with all aspects of general building surveying work. 
 
Michael is supported by a core team of in-house staff and other specialists when required. 
 
 
 
 
Andrew Younger 
Consultant – Chartered Architect 
 
Andrew Younger is a Chartered Architect having qualified with a BA Hons Degree in 1985, Dip Arch Hons in 1988 and Part 3 Professional practice RIBA in 1990 
 
As the sole trader of an Architectural Practice established in1993 following employment with National Westminster Bank Architects Department in Crawley and London based Architects, T.P Bennett he gained much experience as a Project Architect on multi million pound commercial and leisure projects. 
 
Projects he has personally been responsible for include the design and project management of numerous new build commissions and large bespoke domestic extensions, Offices and Retail units, National Heath projects, Care Homes, Local Authority refurbishments, Restaurant design, Educational facilities and Sports and social clubs. 
 
 
 
Clive Carlile 
Consultant 
 
Clive retired from the Company in January 2014 but remains a Consultant to the Practice providing advice and expertise that he has gained over the years. 
 
Clive was the Principal of Carlile Associates a company providing building surveying and architectural services which he started in 1972 and which he operated from the City of London since 1980 and then latterly the Managing Director Carlile Associates Limited until he retired. 
 
He was practicing as a Building Surveyor for over forty-five years before retiring, dealing with all aspects of building surveying, building construction and architectural services and has acted as an Expert Witness in numerous associated matters. During Clive’s working period he has been a Fellow of the Architects and Surveyors Institute, a Fellow of the Charted Institute of Building, a Member of the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors, a Member of the Chartered Institute of Arbitrators and a Member of the Association for Project Safety.
